When and how did you get involved with Cardiff Youth Service?
I gained employment with CYS in November 2000, after landing my dream position, as DofE Manager Cardiff. I was drawn to the job after having personally attained all 3 Awards and recognising the value it can bring to yp. This personal involvement, inspired me to become a young leader and go on to and apply for a degree in youth work, from De Montfort University. This was the start of my professional career and is a career that I still love today.

ROLE MODEL
There are only a small number of people that have made a true impact on my life. My role model isn't famous or someone that you know and consequently, I shan't name. However, she gave me the confidence, self-belief and opportunities to achieve and become the person I am today and for that, I will be forever grateful.
