Do you live in the North West of Cardiff? are you interested in making a change in your local area and having your voice heard? Streetbased Youth Work in Heath and Whitchurch 16:00-19:00pm – Cardiff Youth Service Youth Worker’s will be walking around Heath and Whitchurch, engaging with young people in the community to offer information, support and guidance and promoting what is on offer for young people in the North West of the City.
Tuesday 15th April
Urdd Arts Session (10:00am-15:00pm)
The Urdd will be at Gabalfa Youth & Community Centre delivering an Art Workshop in the medium of Welsh. Activity fully booked.
Gabalfa Junior Youth Club (16:15-18:45pm) Year 6,7,8 and 9
Come and get involved in our open-access Junior Youth club for school years 6-9. We will be delivering lots of fun activities such as cooking, arts, gaming, sport and wellbeing workshops.
Wednesday 16th April
Cardiff Youth Service Gaming Tournament at Eastmoors (13:00-17:00) Age 11-25
Cardiff Youth Service will be meeting at Eastmoors Youth Centre for our Gaming Tournament. There will be lots of tournaments and competitions in Fortnite, FIFA, Just Dance and much more. Please speak to a member of the Gabalfa Youth Centre team to sign up. Transport is provided.
Gabalfa Park Pop Up (15:00-17:00)
Come and join your local Youth Action Group partners in a family fun day at Gabalfa Park on College Road, Gabalfa. Cardiff Youth Service, Ministry of Life, South Wales Police, Hafod Housing, Draconians FC and many more will be offering information, snacks, activities and music.
Gabalfa Seniors (18:00-21:00) Year 9,10,11
Come and get involved in our open-access Senior Youth club for school years 6-9. We will be delivering lots of fun activities such as cooking, arts, gaming, sport and wellbeing workshops. Youth Workers will also be able to help you with post 16 destination options; looking at college applications, work and training opportunities and exam help.
Thursday 17th April
Cardiff Play Service (11:00-12:30) age 5-14
Cardiff Play Service will be delivering an open play session at Gabalfa Youth & Community Centre on Thursday 17th April. Lots of fun and engaging child-led activities on offer. Please visit cardiffchildrensplayservices.co.uk to sign a membership form.
VIY Wellbeing Garden Project
14th, 15th, 16th, 22nd, 23rd and 24th April

Exciting opportunity for young people aged 14+ over the half term at Gabalfa Youth & Community Centre – We are installing a new Wellbeing Garden in partnership with Barclaycard, Dulux, National Lottery, Toolstation and VIY.
There are 30 spaces available (first come first served).
The creation of the outdoor learning area will take place over 3 days in the first week of half term and 3 days in the second week.
Young people who engage will gain a City & Guilds Qualification in trades such as Carpentry, Painting & Decorating, Bricklaying, Health & Safety etc.
All safety equipment will be provided. Lunch will also be provided.
