The Additional Learning Needs (ALN) Summer Strength & Wellbeing programme
Following the success of last year’s programme, we would love to welcome all young people 15+ with Additional Learning Needs to ION this summer for another series of free sessions.
What Are The Sessions?
These sessions are designed to provide a safe, supportive and enjoyable introduction to strength training and physical activity for young people aged 15+.
Participants will learn the fundamental movement patterns that help people stay fit, healthy and independent throughout life, including:
* Squatting
* Pushing
* Pulling
* Hinging
* Carrying
* Balance and coordination
The sessions will focus on developing movement confidence, physical competence and an understanding of how exercise can positively impact both physical and mental wellbeing.
What To Expect
* Free introduction to strength training
* Fun, friendly and inclusive environment
* Small group coaching from experienced professionals
* Opportunities to build confidence in a gym setting
* Sessions tailored to individual abilities and needs
* Focus on participation, enjoyment and personal development
Our coaching team has extensive experience working with young people from a wide range of backgrounds and abilities, creating a welcoming environment where everyone can feel comfortable, supported and successful.
